Advantages of Excavators

Excavators come in a much wider range of sizes than most types of heavy equipment. That means that regardless of the scale of your job, there’s an excavator out there that’s likely to be the perfect fit.

Even though an excavator uses a similar boom and stick arrangement to what you’d find on a backhoe loader (and even some tractors), the fact that the housing, boom, and stick are all on a rotating platform makes excavators far more efficient. Furthermore, the boom and stick tend to have more reach, leading to better digging depth or more options if you’re using the excavator for demolition.

Buy or Rent a CAT 305E2?

Buying a new excavator, especially if you don’t need it for long, doesn’t make sense. Buying used equipment can be dicey as well. And finding support is a challenge either way. Renting from Link Equipment makes logistical and financial sense.

That’s especially true if you need choices, or multiple pieces of equipment. We offer options ranging from the compact rubber-tracked Hitachi ZX 35U mini excavator (which weighs in at 7,760 Lbs with rubber tracks), to the full-sized 30,000 pound CAT 312E, which is equipped with steel tracks and excels in heavier-duty applications. Renting a purpose-specific machine and returning it when you need it is much more cost-effective, and you won’t have to worry about maintenance either; all machines we offer are serviced between rentals, and can be further supported with 24/7 on-site support as needed.

Rental Rates

You can rent by the day, week, or month, charged by eight meter-hour intervals. For the Cat 305E2, rentals start at $300 plus delivery for eight hours. We take care of transport and maintenance so you can stay focused on the job.
